38th Annual Black and White Ball

The Annual Black and White Ball benefits Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) programs.

For more than a century, the GMUL has stood in the gap, working hard to empower communities and change lives for African Americans living in the greater Milwaukee area.

GMUL was founded in 1919 and is one of 90 affiliates across 34 states and the District of Columbia. The founders, a racially diverse coalition, believed that working together, the lives of every American can be made better. GMUL partnerships in Milwaukee and Wisconsin reflect that same diversity. GMUL's commitment to empower communities and change lives is as strong now as it was in 1919.

Collaborating with partners, donors, and staff, GMUL offers programs in education and employment that open doors to opportunities that give individuals and families the chance to improve their lives and their community. GMUL's advocacy and civic engagement efforts tackle serious issues impacting the community and seek partnerships and solutions to successfully address them.
