The Wisconsin Center District (WCD) traces its roots back to 1835 when Byron Kilbourn, one of Milwaukee’s founding fathers, donated land near present-day Kilbourn Avenue and 6th Street for use as a public grounds and market. Today, the WCD is leading the way in the meetings, conventions and events space.
